It was a great night of fights last Friday at Bellator 113 which took place at the Kansas Star Casino. The evening was highlighted by the opening round of the lightweight tournament which featured Marcin Held facing off against standout Brazilian striker Rodrigo Cavalheiro. After a few brief stand up exchanges after the opening bell Marcin was able to take Cavalheiro to the ground and transition beautifully from a heel hook attempt into a toe hold and force Cavalheiro to tap at 1:56 in the first round! Marcin earned his 9th submission win of his career and demonstrated once again why he has some of the best jiu jitsu, more specifically the best leg lock submissions, in all of MMA. Marcin will face undefeated Derek Anderson in the in lightweight tournament semifinals at Bellator 117. Be sure to join us live at Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs Iowa or watch live on Spike TV starting at 8 pm on April 18th 2014. This fight is not to be missed!
